I need 86% more photo albums

This past Christmas, Brian and I limited the amount we spent on each other and instead invested in a digital SLR camera. Though you can't conveniently pop it into your coat pocket like a point-and-shoot, the SLR takes some damn fine shots. My crappy photography skills are greatly improved and the number of shots of a blurry, moved-too-quickly-for-the-camera Kaylin are reduced to almost nil.

Here are a few recent shots of our curly-haired cutie (mostly because I don't have anything to write about these days, but also because you probably need a good hit of Kaylin right about now).

Wow! She looks so much older with her hair down.
Who's letting her turn into a little girl???

I have tried limiting her food intake, but she just keeps growing!I may have to introduce cigarettes soon - I hear they stunt a child's growth.

Deb, you're not the only who thinks that hat is funny. She gets comments about that hat almost every time she wears it!

Leslie, believe it or not, that is 5-days-since-washing hair, and yes, we use a half-gallon of leave-in detangler every time we shampoo.

Good to know! We usually do 3-5 between washes otherwise someone gets really unfriendly... Can you recommend a detangler?

Gin will keep her REALLY small. Then you can put her in the circus and let her earn her way through university.

Tips for curly hair:

Brush the curly hair out before the bath in which the hair washing shall commence, but ONLY before the bath in which the hair washing shall commence.

The brush is normally the enemy of the curly haired.

Comb only after the bath, and then only after the use of the detangler (and lots of it), detangler works best if it's left in for a few minutes before you try to brush it through.

Other than those two instances, the finger comb should be the only thing used to control the curly hair.

Thou shalt not useth thy brush.

Thou shalt not useth thy comb.

So sayeth the curly hair.

So sayeth we all.
