One of the funniest things about having a baby in daycare is the art projects Kaylin "makes" each week. Over the last month our fridge door has featured a picture of a car with marker scribbles on it, a construction-paper raindrop delicately dappled with blue fingerpaint, and a yellow bus with its wheels glued where the windows would normally be. One of my favourites was a baggie of paper bits and sparkles stapled to a styrofoam soup container. I really had no clue what this craft was, and had to ask one of the teachers. It was a hot air balloon, of course!
Well, our little artist has made our Thanksgiving centerpiece this year. Tom the Turkey may not be easy on the eyes, but he sure does make my heart melt.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone, from Kaylin and Tom!

That turkey is a real homage to early 19th century German abstract expressionism!
she will be featured in the AGO before you know it!!!! Damn that is cute!!!!
That is so funny! I love the turkey - it's hysterical! I can't bear to part with any of the "art" that comes home from daycare. I've got quite the collection!!
